University of Michigan, Biological Science Building

NSC completed the finish carpentry, acoustical paneling packages and associated miscellaneous specialty items on this amazing 5 story, 295,000 SF project.  NSC’s packages included many custom items to include 250 custom solid ash door jambs with sidelights and transoms.  Due to the extra-large jamb sizes each jamb had to be assembled on sight.  NSC installed 2,400 SF of sloping ceilings made of triangle shaped wood veneer acoustical panels along with the custom support framing system.  Over 4,500 SF of solid surface wall panels were installed.  Several different types of wood panel systems made up the 14,000 SF of wall paneling.  Every triangle shaped fabric wrapped acoustical panels that filled in between the structural steel of the dome theater was custom made to fit.
