Oakland University Oakland Center

This 60,000 SF expansion and total renovation to the existing student center was completed with a phased construction schedule around the student’s and staff’s busy academic schedule.  This beautiful space includes a Plum Market café, 10,000 SF ballroom, conference rooms, open seating, a credit union, collaboration spaces and presentation space.  NSC’s scope of work included custom millwork, trim, wood paneling, decorative metal panels, wall protection, visual display surfaces, window treatments loading dock equipment and multiple other miscellaneous specialties.   The major challenge of this project was the scheduling of the many specialty long lead materials through-out the multiple phases. Through careful collaboration with the Construction Manager NSC was able to have the materials needed to successfully complete each individual phase.
